Blog Link Love – St. Patricks Day Edition

St Patricks Day

St. Patrick’s Day holds a special place in my heart because it is the birthday of my lovely but very busy bonus daughter.  She is an amazing gal!  Happy 15th!

Holidays are also a wonderful excuse to make a fabulous day for the kiddos.  Now that my Sophea is homeschooling we can make a party day out of every holiday and add some learning in as well.  Here is a list of some of the fun activities we have planned for St. Patrick’s Day.  Grab a cup of something green and click some fun links!

Learn about St. Patrick – Books for Kids by

Leprechaun Graham Cracker House from Joy in the Works.  We made a chocolate cookie haunted house for Halloween and a sugar cookie tree for Christmas, so this seems perfect and very cute.

Lime Sherbet Floats (St Patrick’s Day Floats) by Brandi from Home Cooking Memories.  Because when you are thirsty from eating sugar… what could be better than more sugar?  NOTHING!  But supper might be a celebration of green veggies and granny smith apples to make up for it.

Magic leprechaun rocks {St. Patrick’s Day activity} by Katie SG from Gift of Curiousity.  Because a day without science is no reason to celebrate.  I might make a couple of these ahead of time to surprise them with and then let them make a couple of their own!

15 Awesome St. Patrick’s Day Free Printables for Kids by Colleen Padilla from Classy Mommy.  My kids love coloring and almost any activity I can print out for my printer so I was excited to find a full list of St. Patrick’s Day printables.  I haven’t clicked through the whole list yet but it is on my to-do list before the 17th.

I Am Lucky St. Patrick’s Day Craftivity by Jessica from What I Have Learned.  We usually end the day with an “end of day” journal entry but I thought it might be neat to end the day with a little gratitude.  And what better day to feel lucky than St. Patricks Day?

Have you read or written any fun St. Patrick’s Day posts lately?  I’d love for you to share them or any other posts of interest from this week.  I’d also love to hear what you have planned for St. Patricks Day this year.
